Tee Higgins was born in Oakland Tennessee and attended Oak Ridge High School. After his mother’s sobriety, Tee was inspired to always do his best and make his mother the most proud. In high school he played both basketball and football. Although talented in both, his football records speak for themselves. As a freshman he started, and was the first freshman to start at Oak Ridge High School since 2002. As a sophomore Tee helped his team to an undefeated season with 23 receptions for 387 yards and six scores. His junior year Tee had 46 receptions for 841 yards and 16 touchdowns, helping the team achieve an 11-3 record. He was named Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Class 5A Back of the Year both his junior and senior year. Tee committed to Clemson University to pursue his college football career.
As a freshman at Clemson, Higgins played in 13 games and had 17 receptions for 345 yards and two touchdowns. He entered his sophomore season in 2018 as a starter. In the College Football Playoff National Championship, he had three receptions for 81 yards in the 44–16 victory over Alabama. Following a junior season with 1,167 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, Higgins announced that he would waive his final year of eligibility and declared for the 2020 NFL Draft. In the 2020 NFL Draft he was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round at pick 33. In July 2020 he signed a four-year contract and later began his NFL debut against the LA Chargers. The second week of the season he coped his first three professional receptions for 35 yards against the Browns. Tee finished the season with 67 receptions for 908 yards and six touchdowns. Tying a rookie record set by Cris Collinsworth, Tee had 67 catches. His 908 receiving yards ranked him third among all rookie receivers in 2020.
