Selecting a pink velvet blazer at a middle school dance fueled Odell Beckham Jr’s love of fashion but it’s his success on the football field that’s placed his taste on the map. Growing up in an athletic family in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Odell’s talent for many sports was apparent from a young age. As the No. 6 wide receiver in the nation, Odell chose to follow in his parents footsteps and take his talents to Louisiana State University.
As a true freshman Odell and the Tigers made it to the BCS National Championship game, eventually succumbing to Alabama. Continuing to progress not only in yards, but national recognition. In 2013 he was the recipient of the Paul Hornung award as the most versatile player in college football. As the 12th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, he transitioned easily into the New York Giants offensive scheme. An infamous one handed catch on Sunday Night Football stage locked in notoriety for Odell. Continuing to marvel on the field, he was selected to his Pro Bowl, the first rookie in Giants history to do so. An additional two ProBowls with 14 franchise and 21 league records and counting keep Odell consistently in the top 100 NFL players.
Fashion for Odell is much like personality; passionate, unpredictable and purely OBJ. Never one to hide behind labels, unless it’s a Fendi face mask, his swag guarantees OBJ wears the clothes and the clothes never do not wear him.
