Kendrick Nunn is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Miami Heat. Nunn was born on August 3, 1995, in Chicago. He plays as both a point guard and shooting guard for the Heat and has quickly become one of the team’s best players and important building blocks for the future. In a short time, Nunn has established himself as a capable shooter, an accurate passer, and a strong defender, making him a multi-dimensional player and a star in the making.
Nunn played college basketball for three seasons at Illinois before transferring to mid-major Oakland for his final year of eligibility. After going undrafted in 2018, Nunn spent his entire rookie season in the G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors. In the spring of 2019, he signed with the Heat and got his first chance in the NBA. During the first full month of the 2019-20 season, Nunn won Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month, jumpstarting a meteoric rise. He soon became the first undrafted player to win Rookie of the Month honors multiple times. At the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, Nunn was invited to participate in the Rising Stars Game.
