Dwight Howard was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the parents of Dwight Howard Sr. and Sheryl Howard. His interested in basketball began at nine years old. His father was the athletic director at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, where he played as a forward during his four years at the school. Dwight led his school with a 31-2 record his senior year. During his high school career, he averaged 16.6 points and 13.4 rebounds. Dwight was named McDonald’s National High School Player of the Year Award, Morgan Wootten High School Player of the Year Award, the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award and Gatorade National Player of the Year award. 

Dwight entered the 2004 NBA Draft and selected by Orlando Magic as its first overall pick. Dwight started in all 82 games his rookie season for the Magic, making him the first NBA player drafted directly from high school to be in that amount of games. Dwight became the youngest player in the league to record 20 rebounds in a game and average 10 rebounds in a season. After the season he was named All-Rookie team honors becoming the third in Rookie of the Year voting. 

In the 2006-07 season Dwight played in all 82 games again, earning his first All-Star team selection as an Eastern Conference reserve. His rebound average that season was 12.3, the highest in the league at the time, earning him the title of All-NBA Third Team. In the 2007-08 season, Dwight earn a spot for the All-Star game as a starter and won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 2008. Dwight also received the NBA All-Defensive Second Team and All_NBA First Team honors awards. In 2008-09 he was named a starter in the All-Star game. Dwight led the Magic to their second Southeast Division title and his impressive performance in the playoffs led the Magic to their first NBA finals in 14 years. Dwight concluded the season by becoming the youngest player in NBA history to win the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. Alongside, Dwight was titled All-NBA First Team and NBA All-Defensive First Team. During the 2009-10 season he was awarded another All-State honor and won the third divisional title for the Magic. He was later awards his second successful Defensive Player of the Year Award. In the 2010-11 season, Dwight impressively led the Magic to the playoffs becoming the first NBA player to earn three successive Defensive Player of the Year Award. 

In 2012, Dwight was traded to the LA Lakers. He received the All-NBA Third Team honor for that season due to his rebounds. In July 2013, Dwight was traded to the Houston Rockets. In his first season with the Rockets, Dwight averaged 12.2 rebounds and 18.3 points. He earned the title of All-NBA Second Team. In December 2015, Dwight accomplished 15,000 career points. In 2016, Dwight signed with the Atlanta Hawks. During his first game, he had the most rebounds for a Hawk player in a debut game. In 2017, Dwight was traded to the Charlotte Hornets. In 2018 Dwight became the 8th player in the NBA to record a 30-30 point game. He also had a double-double, becoming one of the elite six in the league who has recorded a double-double within their first 13 NBA seasons. In July 2018 he signed with the Washington Wizards, but his season was greatly effected by injuries. In August 2019, Dwight signed with the LA Lakers. 

Dwight Howard is known as a fashion icon. He is all about the custom pieces and custom sizes to show off his physique. Dwight is super into form fitting t-shirts with graphics or meaning, loves wearing suits, and is into Chelsea boots. He is more simplistic, so when it comes to accessories he feels the clothes can speak for its self.
