Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Devin Booker was raised for basketball. While his father pursued a professional career internationally, he taught Devin to be a student of the game. Before his senior year in high school, Devin committed to Kentucky for his college ball. He made the SEC All-Freshman Team and won the SEC Sixth Man of the Year award. After one season with the Wildcats, he declared for the 2015 NBA Draft.
Devin was selected 13th by the Phoenix Suns. Devin had a breakout rookie season. He set several marks for a layer of his age. As a 19 year-old, he participated in the 3-Point Challenge in all-Star Weekend. He finished fourth in the Rookie of the Year voting and made the NBA All-Rookie First Team. His next year he grabbed headlines scoring 70-points in a game - a feat only five players before him had done. He won the 3-Point contest in 2018. Booker's outstanding performance won him a maximum contract entering the 2019 season.
With most of his noise coming from on-court, Devin keeps his style laid back. His pre-game style is youthful and street-ready, fitting for a star as young as he is. When he does dial it up, Devin's formal fits blend class and brash. He may rock a double-breasted, pinstripe suit with white sneakers and a gold chain. Whatever the fit, Devin's style is all his own.
