Chandler Hutchison (born April 26, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball at Boise State.

Hutchison was drafted 22nd overall in the 2018 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. On July 3, 2018, Hutchison officially signed with the Bulls. He made his NBA debut playing three minutes in a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on October 18.

On January 23, Hutchison suffered an acute injury to a sesamoid bone in his right foot. He was assigned to the Bulls’ NBA G League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls to rehabilitate his injury on December 31, 2019.

On March 25, 2021, Hutchison was traded to the Washington Wizards in a three-team trade involving the Boston Celtics.

FUN FACTS

Other than his Hall-of-Fame-worthy hairline, here are some more details about the Bulls rookie. A 6-foot-6 wing player out of Boise State, Hutchison was selected 22nd overall in last month’s NBA Draft by Chicago. The 22-year-old swingman brings size and added playmaking to Chicago. In four years as a Bronco, he averaged 12.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. He shot 47.6 percent from the field in college and 35.3 percent from downtown. There remain some question marks with regards to his perimeter touch and defense, but those could be refined in the pros. The important thing for the Bulls is that they see a ton of upside in Hutchison.
