San Jose Sharks
Burns went pro in 2003 with the Wild, when he converted to defense. In the 2006-2007 season, he tallied his most 25 points including two big OT winners in March. The following year brought a bad Concussion injury, which after being misdiagnosed, caused him to miss the last 19 games. Still, he tallied 27 points. Burns was traded in 2011 in a combo-deal to the San Jose Sharks. Feeling fine in California, he signed a five year extension that August. In case his efficiency wasn’t abundantly clear, in 2013, he scored 20 points in 23 regular season games.
Burn’s breakout season came in 2015-16 when he brought home 75 regular season points. Then, he added on a whomping 24 points in the 24 games of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. All the while aiding in leading the Sharks to their first Stanley Cup Final appearance since joining the league 28 years ago.
A seasoned Veteran, Burns is known for his gritty style of play. Grinning wryly with a missing tooth, his menacing defensive tendency make him a nightmare to oppose. Often boasting fever-dream patterns, and delirious color schemes, it’s only fitting that Burns dresses as fresh as he skates. If his eye-popping patterns don’t catch eyes, his ink surely will.
