A standout on both sides of the field as a quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back during his high school days in Virginia, Anthony Harris has been proving his abilities from a young age. Harris chose to stay close to home for his collegiate days, playing ball at the University of Virginia. As a true freshman at Virginia, Anthony Harris saw action mostly on special teams, but his growth was inevitable and he quickly made an impact on the defensive side of the field. He set a school record as a junior with an interception in five straight games. His career 11 interceptions as a Cavalier places him as No.10 in all-time program history.
Despite high pre-draft expectations from analysts, Harris went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, and subsequently signed with the Minnesota Vikings in May of that year. Initially signed to the practice squad during his rookie season, Harris was promoted to the active roster, playing the final four games and playoff appearance, with two starts. Harris locked in his position on the active roster for the next three seasons, rotating into the starting spot for many games, until being named the starting safety during the 2019 season. That was a monumental season for Harris, who recorded six regular season interceptions and one in the playoffs. The Vikings placed the franchise tag on Anthony Harris before the 2020 NFL season.
Anthony Harris’ love for fashion stems from his early interest in art. He told ProTrending in an exclusive interview, that “I’ve always had that eye for developing or being able to spot and appreciate different forms of art work.” His success on the football field allowed for him to have more fun in the fashion field, and that the versatility of his personality is what shines through in his fashion choices. His approach to style is to buy individual pieces and not necessarily trending brands that can showcase his personality.
Business on and off the field! Anthony Harris owns a Cryotherapy business in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia.
Although it’s not all about the label with Anthony Harris’ style, he does note that he has an appreciation and interest for the diverse patterns and colors designer Greg Lauren uses.
