In September of 2020, the Tampa Bay Lightning hoisted the Stanley Cup for the first time in over a decade. Now just 10 months later, the Lightning is once again the best of the best in the NHL.

Following a game 4 loss in Montreal, Tampa took a commanding 3-1 series lead back to Amalie Arena and closed it out with a gritty 1-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens. Ross Colton had the game’s only goal and Andrei Vasilevskiy pitched yet another shutout to take home the Conn Smythe. The Lightning had 5 of the top point scorers this postseason and have been able to dominate teams series after series in the playoffs. Tampa Defenseman, Victor Hedman, led all defensive players in points and assists during the whole 2021 postseason.
The city of Tampa Bay is being treated to their third championship parade in less than a full year….. or since Tom Brady has come to town. With the recent success that has come, they have been nicknamed “Champa Bay” and this nickname does not seem like it will be going anywhere. The Rays, Buccaneers, and Lightning are all at the top of their respective leagues and are becoming a hot option for free agents across all sports. In regards to the Lightning? They bring back their top 5 point scorers this postseason and look to make another run at the 2022 Stanley Cup.
