Inside linebacker Devin white has been a force of nature this NFL season. Unfortunately for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, another force of nature will have Devin sidelined for their Saturday Wild Card playoff game against the Washington Football Team. He reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and must wait 10 days from his last negative test, per NFL protocol.
While Devin roots for his Bucs from the sideline, he will be sorely missed by the defense. Aside from serving as a defensive captain, Devin leads his team in total and solo tackles, landing him fifth in league-wide rankings. But, if the Bucs can handle the Washington Football Team, Captain White will ride again. Speaking of riding…
Devin is a low-key equestrian (horseback rider). Well, it may seem low-key. Devin’s football playing gets most of the attention when his name is brought up. But, to Devin, his passion for horses and riding is a part of him. For the NFL’s ‘My Cleats My Cause’ initiative, Devin chose the Humane Society as his beneficiary.
Devin’s style is two faced, in a good way. Devin doesn’t double-dip styling in his buckeroo (cowboy) drip on the jet to Atlanta. He’s not pairing 10-gallon hats with Balenciaga’s like Cam Newton or DeAndre Jordan. Devin has two separate modes. Devin’s streetwear style, and Devin’s stable attire.
Living that jet-life, it’s hard to go wrong with a tracksuit. Devin opted for the Palm Angels blue suit with the tee to match. White Nike Air Force Ones finish the fit, providing enough drip without losing an ounce of comfort. // Cargo pants and a designer tee is an anywhere/anytime look. Devin gave it a little punch up with the matching laces.
When Devin isn’t wearing shoulder pads or on his way to do so, he is often found at Get Live Stables where he becomes the Buccaneer Buckaroo for real. Trade the Major Key crewneck for some on-brand gear. Swap out the Amiri jeans for some Wranglers. ‘Cowboy-cut’ and ‘boot-cut’ jeans mean something different to Devin. But while the jeans are important, riding is all about the boots.
Devin’s favorite cordwainer (bootmaker) is Justin Boots, a Terxan outfit with 140 years of history. The pair Devin rocks sitting side-saddle are the Clinton model, a $210 masterpiece.
